Facilitated and managed by United Cerebral Palsy of Chicago, the Infinitec Assistive Technology Coalitions permit members to share, collaborate, problem solve and create valuable and necessary assistive technology resources to better serve the mission of providing access to a quality education for all learners.

As of January 2005, the Infinitec Assistive Technology (AT) Coalitions have provided services to 56 agencies serving more than 400 school districts representing more than 900,000 students in 1593 schools across all parts of Illinois. In addition to the school coalitions, 15 agencies have partnered to establish the Infinitec Social Services/University Coalition to bring empowering assistive technology to infants and adults with disabilities.

We have also formed a partnership with Illinois State University's SEAT Center to provide teachers with Assistive Technology tools and training. Please click here to watch a brief video about this exciting partnership.

The Infinitec AT Coalitions provide members the benefits of a viable network that works to maximize resources and to provide programs and services including:
  • Access to state-of-the-art text, video, and Internet INFORMATION
  • Hands-on, user-friendly TRAINING, including events featuring nationally known speakers
  • On-line PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION with CPDUs available
  • EQUIPMENT loan, rental and purchase benefits
  • Access to AT COLLABORATION
At this time, membership in the Infinitec AT Coalitions is open to school districts, special education cooperatives, social service agencies and colleges and universities in the State of Illinois.

For more information about joining the Infinitec Assistive Technology Coalitions, email Peg Childs (pchilds@ucpnet.org) at UCPA-Chicago.
